Coffee Grounds Vs Mosquitoes

20180628_195145Sure sure. Burn dried coffee grounds to repel mosquitoes. I can do that! Well no, actually I can’t. They make it look so easy in all those how-to videos floating around Facebook. I tried it. How in the hell do you get the grounds to burn and stay burning? I lit a paper fire underneath the foil tray. I lit paper twists stuck into the grounds in the tray. There was plenty of smoke, but it wasn’t the nice “just like burning incense” type that the videos showed. So, what’s the secret? Do I need one of those lobster-butter melters you get in restaurants?

  1. I can tell you how many things I have tried that I saw online that were a FAIL. The latest was using an apple cutter on an onion but not cutting all the way through. You then dip it in egg then breadcrumbs and put it on the barbecue. In the pictures it looked so delicious. In reality it ended up in the green bin. It was disgusting.
